↓ Please scroll down on this page to see a step by step guide on how to attach the fleece to your tree ↓

Fleecing your Olive Tree is only necessary if the UK withstands severe winters/frost. Also, if you live in the north of the UK and Scotland or if your tree is in a position that’s exposed to winds. The porous construction of the fleece allows the passage of light, air and water and also creates an excellent microclimate. The fleece supplied is approximately 3 metres x 3 metres and can be positioned over the crown (foliage) and then tired down around the trunk as shown in picture (A). You can purchase this product individually  or add it to any product on our website.

Horticultural Fleece - D14674A6 9115 4510 84F5 9AAF014335B5 1 105 c 1Step 4: The process is now complete! Your plant will now be protected from harsh cold winds during the frosty season.

Did you know?

The horticultural fleece is reusable! This means we can protect our environment whilst protecting our trees. They can be used as ‘crop covers’ all year round. For example, you can protect your bedding plants (flowers) from sun scorch, frost & pests.

When should I remove the horticultural fleece?

We suggest monitoring your plant during the frosty season. As soon as long periods of frosty cold spells has cleared from your location, you can remove the fleece.
